Encarnación Postigo Pinazo is full Professor of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Malaga. She holds a degree in Germanic Philology (1987) and a PhD in English Philology (1997) from the University of Malaga. Her academic work is primarily linked to biomedical translation and interpreting, and her current research interest focuses on the application of new technologies to the field. Professor Pinazo is a member of the Lexytrad research group and the University Institute of Multilingual Linguistic Technologies (IUTLM). She collaborates as an evaluator for agencies such as AGAE and SEPIE. She has also had the opportunity to conduct research stays at various European and North American universities and to participate in international scientific committees and editorial boards. Throughout her career, Professor Pinazo has led and contributed to several research projects, both nationally and internationally.
