Втора международна конференция „Променящият се град: предизвикателства, прогнози, перспективи“
На 18 и 19 юни 2026 г. в Нов български университет ще се проведе Втората международна конференция „Променящият се град: предизвикателства, прогнози, перспективи“ – международен научен форум, посветен на актуалните процеси и трансформации в градската среда и градското управление.
Конференцията се организира по инициатива на Центъра по многоезичието на НБУ и Лабораторията за практики за устойчиво развитие в НБУ, в партньорство с департаментите „Администрация и управление“, „Икономика“, „Политически науки“, „Нова българистика“ и „Архитектура“. Събитието се осъществява с подкрепата на Европейския университетски алианс ERUA, Университетската агенция на Франкофонията (AUF) в Централна и Източна Европа, както и на редица дипломатически, академични и институционални партньори.
Целта на конференцията е да създаде академична и гражданска трибуна за обмен на идеи, анализи и добри практики, свързани с настоящето и бъдещето на градовете, устойчивото градско развитие, социалните, икономическите и културните трансформации на градската среда. В рамките на форума ще бъдат представени теоретични и приложни изследвания на български и чуждестранни учени, експерти, представители на публичната администрация и гражданското общество.
В конференцията ще вземат участие утвърдени и млади изследователи, практици и експерти от над 15 държави от Европа, Северна и Южна Америка, Африка и Азия. Работните езици на събитието са френски и английски.
Международен хакатон „Hack Smart Sofia“ (17–19 юни 2026 г.)
Паралелно с конференцията, в периода 17–19 юни 2026 г., ще се проведе международният хакатон „Hack Smart Sofia“, с участието на студенти и преподаватели от университети – партньори в рамките на алианса ERUA. Хакатонът се реализира с подкрепата на Столична община, финансови институции, както и на представители на бизнеса и организации, ангажирани с развитието на града.
Участниците ще работят в международни и интердисциплинарни екипи по реални градски предизвикателства, а преподавателите ще се включат като ментори, фасилитатори и академични експерти. Инициативата надгражда образователното и изследователското измерение на конференцията и създава пряка връзка между академичното знание, студентското предприемачество и практическите решения за устойчиво градско развитие.

Deuxième Colloque international
« Villes en transformation : Défis, (Pré)Visions, Perspectives »
18–19 juin 2026, Nouvelle Université Bulgare
Les 18 et 19 juin 2026, la Nouvelle Université Bulgare (NUB) accueillera la deuxième édition de la Conférence internationale « Villes en transformation : Défis, (Pré)Visions, Perspectives », consacrée aux dynamiques contemporaines et aux transformations des espaces urbains.
La conférence est organisée à l’initiative du Centre des langues et de la diversité culturelle de la NUB et Laboratoire des pratiques de développement durable, en partenariat avec les départements d’Administration et gestion, d’Économie, de Sciences politiques, de Bulgaristique contemporaine et d’Architecture. Elle bénéficie du soutien de l’Alliance universitaire européenne ERUA, de l’Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) en Europe centrale et orientale, ainsi que de nombreux partenaires institutionnels et académiques.
L’événement vise à offrir une tribune académique et citoyenne pour le partage d’analyses, d’expériences et de bonnes pratiques autour du présent et de l’avenir des villes, du développement urbain durable et des transformations sociales, économiques et culturelles de l’espace urbain. Des chercheurs bulgares et internationaux, des experts, des représentants des administrations publiques et de la société civile y présenteront des recherches théoriques et appliquées.
La conférence réunira des chercheurs confirmés et jeunes chercheurs, praticiens et experts de plus de 15 pays d’Europe, d’Amérique du Nord et du Sud, d’Afrique et d’Asie. Les langues de travail sont le français et l’anglais.
Hackathon international « Hack Smart Sofia » (17–19 juin 2026)
Parallèlement à la conférence, du 17 au 19 juin 2026, se tiendra le hackathon international « Hack Smart Sofia », réunissant des étudiants et des enseignants des universités partenaires de l’Alliance ERUA. Le hackathon est organisé avec le soutien de la Municipalité de Sofia, d’institutions financières, ainsi que d’acteurs économiques et d’organisations engagées dans le développement urbain.
Les participants travailleront en équipes internationales et interdisciplinaires sur des défis urbains réels, avec l’accompagnement d’enseignants jouant le rôle de mentors, facilitateurs et experts académiques. Cette initiative renforce la dimension pédagogique et scientifique de la conférence et crée un lien direct entre savoir académique, entrepreneuriat étudiant et solutions concrètes pour un développement urbain durable.

Second International Conference
“Changing Cities: Challenges, Predictions, Perspectives”
18–19 June 2026, New Bulgarian University
On 18–19 June 2026, New Bulgarian University (NBU) will host the Second International Conference “Changing Cities: Challenges, Predictions, Perspectives”, an international academic forum dedicated to contemporary urban transformations and challenges.
The conference is organised on the initiative of the Center for Multilingualism of NBU and Laboratory for Sustainable Development Practices, in partnership with the Departments of Administration and Management, Political Science, Economics, New Bulgarian Studies, and Architecture. The event is supported by the ERUA European University Alliance, the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) in Central and Eastern Europe, and a wide range of institutional and academic partners.
The conference aims to provide an academic and civic platform for sharing research, analyses, and best practices related to the present and future of cities, sustainable urban development, and the social, economic, and cultural transformations of urban environments. It will feature theoretical and applied research presented by Bulgarian and international scholars, experts, and representatives of public authorities and civil society.
The forum will bring together established and early-career researchers, practitioners, and experts from more than 15 countries across Europe, North and South America, Africa, and Asia. The working languages of the conference are French and English.
International Hackathon “Hack Smart Sofia” (17–19 June 2026)
In parallel with the conference, from 17 to 19 June 2026, the international hackathon “Hack Smart Sofia” will take place, involving students and academic staff from partner universities within the ERUA Alliance. The hackathon is organised with the support of the Sofia Municipality, financial institutions, as well as business representatives and organisations engaged in urban development.
Participants will work in international and interdisciplinary teams on real urban challenges, with academic staff acting as mentors, facilitators, and academic experts. The initiative enhances the educational and research dimensions of the conference by creating a strong link between academic knowledge, student entrepreneurship, and practical solutions for sustainable urban development.
