To the International Students of New Bulgarian University - A Letter from the Rector, Prof. Plamen Doynov, D.Sc.

Dear students!

Taking into consideration the care for the preservation of your health and the health of your relatives, and in compliance with the decision of the National Assembly of the Rebublic of Bulgaria for declaring a state of emergency in the country, by order of the Minister of Health, we switched to E-learning on 16th of March 2020.

On behalf of New Bulgarian University, I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding for the fact that we studied together in these critical months and overcame the occurred difficulties in the E-learning process. NBU managed to continue its educational mission at this unusual situation.

But we realize that attended classed have their irreplaceable advantages.

Therefore, during August and September, you will have the opportunity to attend additional classes for practical courses from the past Spring semester - of course, for students who would like to take advantage of this.

The studios, computer halls, specialized laboratories and study areas of the university campus will be at your disposal for practical work, individual and group consultations with lecturers.

I would like also to assure you that we are doing our best to provide attended training for the new academic year. Only the absolute prohibition on the attended educational process by the state authorities, in case of extreme deterioration of the epidemic situation, can stop our intentions. Even in that case, we are ready to ensure the implementation of the practical courses of the programs.

Another measure that we will take, is to extend the enrollment deadline for the upcoming Autumn semester until 25th of September 2020.

I believe that in the beginning of October we will welcome you at our university and together we will continue on through the path of knowledge.

Professor Plamen Doynov, D.Sc.

Rector of NBU
