Предизвикателствата за зеления и енергийния преход, както и за пазара на труда в ЕС, проблемите на европейската парична и икономическа интеграция, дигитализацията на икономиките, кръговата икономика и нови бизнес модели, рисковете и възможностите пред финансовия сектор, съвременни тенденции в маркетинга, туризма, счетоводството, застраховането и контролинга.

Темите бяха във фокуса на Международна конференция, организирана от департамент „Икономика“ съвместно със Съюза на икономистите в България.

В събитието участваха над 80 изследователи и представители на университети и изследователски институти от България, Франция, Люксембург, Грузия, Румъния, Китай и Ливан. В пленарната сесия на конференцията лектори бяха: проф. д-р Татяна Хубенова-Делисивкова, Председател на Съюза на икономистите в България, д-р Сара Голдман, Директор на изследователски център Lux-SIR, Люксембург, д-р Юлия Моника Оехлер-Синкай, Институт за световна икономика на Румънската академия на науките и проф. д-р Нино Папашвили, Директор на Института за изследване на развитието на Университета Сулкхан-Саба Орбелиани, Грузия.

On May 12^th 2023, the International Conference "The Economy of the XXI century - crises, transformations, sustainability" was held at the New Bulgarian University, co-organized by the Department of Economics and the Union of Economists in Bulgaria. More than 80 researchers and representatives of different Universities and research institutes from Bulgaria, France, Luxembourg, Georgia, Romania, China and Lebanon participated in the event. In the plenary session of the conference, speakers were: Prof. Dr. Tatiana Hubenova-Delisivkova, President of the Union of Economists in Bulgaria, Dr. Sara Goldman, Director of the Lux-SIR Research Center, Luxembourg, Dr. Iulia Monica Oehler-Şincai, Institute for World Economy of the Romanian Academy and Prof. Dr. Nino Papachashvili, Director of the Institute for Development Studies of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, Tbilisi, Georgia. The main topics discussed during the forum were: the challenges of the Green and Energy Transition, as well as the labor market in the EU, the problems of the European monetary and economic integration, the digitalization of economies, the circular economy and new business models, the risks and opportunities facing the financial sector, modern trends in marketing, tourism, accounting, insurance and controlling.
